WHY COMMISSION A PORTRAIT?
Commissioned sketches make great gifts for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, house warmings, retirements, birth announcements, to remember a beloved family pet, and any other time when gifts are given. Portraits are also commissioned for purposes such as awards, gifts, remembrance of loved ones who have passed on, or to commemorate a special occasion for an employee, boss or organization member.
Portraits are unique for any occasion: wedding, anniversary, birthday, Christmas, mother's day, etc. Portraits make wonderful gifts for family or friends because they are so versatile and uniquely personal. I have been commissioned for portraits that have been used as gifts in presentations by community organizations, churches and social groups to their members, and by employers to employees to show their appreciation of their work, as retirement gifts, and to denote special company and employee anniversary dates.
From photograph to pencil portrait, my drawings are easy to commission and all are unique to the giver and receiver.
